Sputnik Azerbaijan's claim about COVID-19 passport

Sputnik Azerbaijan's claim about COVID-19 passport

"The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population (MLSPP) states that the consideration of citizens' applications to the e-services of the ministry will be carried out if the information is included that they have a COVID-19 passport," Sputnik Azerbaijan reported.

Fakt Yoxla examined whether the news was true.

"The address of MLSPP dated August 7 is as follows: “Starting from August 16, 2021, visual reception or examination of a citizen at one stage or another by the Ministry and consideration of appeals to e-services providing visual communication with a citizen will be carried out if the information is included that they have a COVID-19 passport (as well as is it is specified in the application-declaration at the time of application for targeted state social assistance).

It is clear that there is a contradiction between the MLSPP's address and the news.

The Ministry states that a COVID-19 passport will be required only when a citizen applies for e-services providing face-to-face reception or examination, as well as face-to-face communication.

Sputnik Azerbaijan reports that the COVID-19 passport will be required for all electronic applications.

Fakt Yoxla believes that the news spread by Sputnik Azerbaijan is Fake News.
