The statement of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers on July 9 states that the number of vaccine doses in the country up to that date was 4 million 15 thousand, not the number of people vaccinated.
As of July 9, 2021, the number of people receiving the first dose of the vaccine was 2 million 438 thousand people, and the number of people receiving both first and second doses was 1 million 578 thousand people.
This means that on July 9, 2021, a total of 2.438 million people were vaccinated across the country. 1.578 million of them received both first and second doses of the vaccine, while 860 thousand have so far received only the first dose.
In other words, the table does not show the number of people vaccinated for the 1st and 2nd stages separately, and the number of people vaccinated for the 1st stage has already taken into account those who have received the second dose as well.
In the news of the website, the numbers of people vaccinated in the 1st and 2nd stages have been added, which is a wrong method, and it was incorrectly stated that more than 4 million people have been vaccinated.
